Client Service Code
Practicing law is more than just knowing the law. It also involves efficiently locating, analyzing and presenting relevant information in a professional manner to our clients' benefit. Our approach to client service is based on treating each client as an individual rather than a file. Accordingly, we have developed a 4-Point Client Service Code to ensure we provide legal services tailored to meet client needs:
- From our initial meeting with clients, we work toward developing an understanding of our clients' circumstances, needs and concerns. Recognizing clients' needs and concerns is the first step to providing our clients with creative and effective solutions to their legal challenges;
- We recognize that value is a critical component of client service. Our lawyers will summarize the benefits of our legal services for clients and provide either a realistic range of fees for our services, or an outline of the basis on which we will bill for our services;
- We will coordinate the resources of our qualified team of lawyers, legal assistants and support staff to formulate practical strategies to meet our clients' needs in an efficient and cost-effective manner;
- We recognize that our clients' personal and business concerns may occasionally necessitate services of professionals other than lawyers. Our lawyers will facilitate our clients obtaining other personal and financial assistance as required in the circumstances.
